Angela has done 'This Week' but cannot access the 'site news' category... not sure why some members can't but will look into this...
Thanks Angela for persevering...
Looks like summer has finally arrived in the Netherlands. The sun is shining, people are preparing for the annual exodus from the capital and the football is finally over (punches the air).
Vanessa has supplied this week’s Monday Muse, some juicy one-liner prompts around the theme of holidays and travel. I’m sure that we’ve all got a holiday romance, travel disaster or mile-high experience that will get the pen flowing!
Mary has written a thought-provoking blog about the quest to find your ideal reader. She has been re-reading Stephen King’s biography, On Writing. Stephen King’s ideal reader is his wife Tabitha who reads all his first drafts and had the foresight to rescue his first novel, Carrie from the wastepaper bin. In an ideal world we’d all like to have insightful partners like Tabitha but this isn’t the reality for most of us. Thank goodness for the valuable support and critique we all get here at Writers Abroad!

-
Jill’s story, ‘The Blind Truth’ won the April Five Stop Story competition. It is now online and can be enjoyed by all. Well done to both Nicola and Jill!
